Trail DIPlomat
Ahh, Trail Work!

The Trail Work Party at LH Thomson yesterday was a huge success! We had 15 people show up to construct the trail re-route Shane W. dreamed up. Shane has come up with some great ideas of fixing some problem areas on the Thomson Trail. The last two re-routes he created have greatly improved the trails' sustainability, rider safety, and erosion. There will be a lot less soil/sand filling up the creek after big down pours of rain now. Thank You Shane for your dedication to improving trail riding for everyone in Middle Georgia. Also a Big Thank You to all the volunteers that showed up: Shane & Diana W, David & Carrie S, Bill W, Bruce D, David P, Grant B , Kathleen O, John H, Jim F, Rachel N, Ronnie F, Brandon T (BK) , Ralph B, Monte M.

Before the work party I was able to get in two laps. I got there at sun up and the temp was ~28 degrees. It felt great to get out on the trail in the brisk temps. I was just glad to be out riding. I wore shorts and was never really cold. My shin guards helped keep my legs warm. The next work party will be Saturday Dec 1st. We will be working on the Dirt jump area. At last years Thomson Day the dirt jumps and humps saw a lot of traffic. We'll try to get them in better shape for next year.

Mmmmm Mmmmm, I'm enjoying some of my favorite coffee tonight. Illy Coffee that Jill purchased for me at Williams - Sonoma. This is the best coffee, it is a blend of Sumatran and Colombian, my top two favorite types of coffee. I like a turkish grind style in my press. Turkish grind is a fine grind that leaves a thick silt of coffee in the bottom of your cup.

I am still trying to figure out how to get comments up on this blog. I'll have it figured out soon. It is a lot of trial and error. If you really need to tell me something you can always e-mail me at georgiamtb@gmail.com
